Seven Deadly Sins
Short Poem personifying the seven deadly sins
Sloth lays in her abandoned room
Dressed in yesterday's clothing and make up
She looks at the time and says
“Maybe tomorrow”
Wrath hurls the pictures against the walls,
Black mascara runs down her red face
He lied about her
Envy calmly wipes the dark red stain off her knife
Her short green dress splattered in crimson
If she couldn’t have him, no one could
Greed lounges in a chair of gold
The heavy crown atop his head glistening
“Invade the next kingdom” he exclaimed
Gluttony hiccups at the town bar
Soaked in the bitter smell of cheap bourbon
As he raises his finger for another round
Lust watches him from across the dance floor
Wearing a form fitting dress and tall heels
She bites her lip and intends to make him hers
Pride stands in front of the company
Clad in a sleek suit and smug expression
He exclaims that his way is the only way
