Sydney Friedt's Bio

As a dedicated student at The Ohio State University, I am actively involved in several student organizations, including The PRactice and Phi Sigma Pi. Through these experiences, I have developed strong skills in public relations, social media management, and event planning, ultimately serving as the Head of PR, Social Media, and Special Events Chair for Phi Sigma Pi.

In addition to my campus involvement, I have gained hands-on professional experience through internships with a marketing network in Ireland, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and as an Events Intern with the Sports Society Initiative at Ohio State. These opportunities allowed me to work in fast-paced, real-world environments, strengthening my strategic communication, event planning, branding, and content creation skills, while gaining both global and professional sports perspectives on marketing and public relations.

Writing is my passion, and I am constantly seeking new ways to express creativity and communicate effectively. My goal is to turn this passion into a career by owning a freelance copywriting and public relations business. With a strong foundation in writing and diverse practical experience, I am eager to bring innovative ideas, adaptability, and strategic thinking to the professional world of copywriting and public relations. I am always seeking new opportunities to grow and continue honing my skills.
